Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

We just installed it and it did everything it said it would. However, it is hard to figure out how to change from the metric system to the US system for altitude number. Other than that, it tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the weather conditions. We especially wanted the wind readings due to where we live, we have always been curious to know the wind speed. Installation couldn't have been easier.

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

Programming can be very complicated. There are lots of bugs and it is not always clear how USR and UTC and all of the other parameters affect each other. The manual is too important, changing batteries resets the unit and it takes an hour to reprogram particulars.

On the bright side, the sunrise and sunsets are accurate...once you have the right time zone, UTC, USR, and DST!

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

I had a little difficulty programing. I do not belive the wind speed is accurate it will not show a wind over 9 mph. The local radio station was reporting speeds of 25 to 30 with gusts of 40mph

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

This was purchased this past Christmas as a gift for my son and his wife who live in Kansas. It was chosen over others for the wind speed feature; important in windy Kansas. Son reported it was easy to put in operation, even including installing an antenna on a rooftop, and they are happy with it.

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

The unit was never put into use. Wind detecting apparatus could not be attached, no matter what was done. Surely, the attaching hex screw could have been made larger to ease the assembly. This change would greatly improve usage. Unit was returned.

      Service and delivery comments:

Received as Christmas present, so not sure about delivery but wife said it was fine. Did not use customer service. The return process was very good, easy and fast.

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

The product is terrific for checking the wind strength and overall weather conditions in open country before heading for outdoor work. It is easy to read and pretty consistant. The distance between sensors and the main unit is a closer than I would want, but the results are SO worth it!

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

Not bad but certainly not user friendly. Poor instructions leave you praying that you never have to reset the unit. Temp is pretty accurate and humidity close enough. Nice toy but if you are a fanatic for dead accuracy - keep looking. Bring patience to set it up.

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

your product does not work as advertised. Unable to get reception from remote stations at more than 50 feet. sometime more than 10 feet. Multiple battery changes and resets with no improvement. POOR QUALITY WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. configuration is VERY DIFFICULT due to small font on device screen and multiple confusing steps to achieve the setting you want. If you have to reset to try to get remote stations to read you lose all other settings you have entered.

I would not recommend your product or your company to anyone. In fact I will tell people not to do business with you on my web site.

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

The wind and weather station I purchased is not at all user friendly. The control to access minimum and maximum temps and wind speeds is on the back of the unit. The wind speed feature does not give the average wind speed, only the average wind gust and maximum wind gust. I'm not sure the gust figures are very accurate. Sorry, but the station doesn't live up to the write-up about it!

Comments about WindandWeather Weather & Wind Station:

I use the unit to give me the usual indoor and outdoor weather/wind speed information. I have an extra sensor providing similar information for my attached solarium; this has allowed me to grow tomatoes to the end of January in a Zone 4 region!
It is a bit difficult to set up the unit to get the most out of atmospheric pressure features - probably my ignorance is part of the problem.
